Eintracht Frankfurt continue working with Niko and Robert Kovac. The contract of SGE’s manager and his brother, which were about to expire at the end of this season, have been extended until 30 June 2019. The Kovac-Brothers took over in Frankfurt on 8 March 2016 following Armin Veh. Within two months they saved Eintracht from relegation to Bundesliga 2 in the play-off matches.
Niko Kovac: „We always emphasized that we are very happy in Frankfurt and at Eintracht. The team has great potential and we will give everything to further improve the club. We have already had some great experiences here. Especially the relegation play-offs have brought the entire team closer together and we want to continue on this path.“
Fredi Bobic: „We have a meticulous and diligent-working managing-team. The contract-extension is a great sign. Our work has been based on mutual trust and we will continue this process in the following months. We have a lot of work to do, but we are looking forward to it.“
At the beginning of this season Armin Reutershahn joined Eintracht as additional assistant manager. His contract has been extended until 30 June 2019 as well so that the coaching staff is set for the next two and a half years.
