“I’m slowly getting to where I want to be”

After starting Eintracht’s last two matches, Erik Durm looks ahead to the Eagles’ upcoming game against a club with whom he spent six years – Borussia Dortmund.

Erik Durm on…

…his playing time: “I was obviously really pleased to play from the start against Leipzig and at Union Berlin recently. Those appearances gave me a fantastic feeling and showed me that I need to continue in that vein.”

…his current shape: “I feel very good, particularly as I’m finally injury-free for the first time in around two years. I’m able to react differently to various situations during a match, which allows me to help the team more than I was a couple of years ago. Overall, I’m feeling a lot more mature and very happy in Frankfurt. I’m slowly getting to where I want to be. We’ve got a great group who always show their strength of character. Everything’s just a lot of fun with these lads at the moment.”

…the game against BVB: “Dortmund are a top team with very good strength in depth. We want to get another point against BVB, maybe even all three. My past is neither here nor there for this game, even though I’ve obviously still got a lot of friends there.”
