Clean sheet and an U21 trophy

Martin Hinteregger and Stefan Ilsanker could not manage to break down Slovakia, but Frederik Rönnow bagged a win with Denmark and Markus Schubert got to hoist the EURO trophy aloft!

Goalless dress rehearsal for Hinteregger and Ilsanker

Martin Hinteregger and Stefan Ilsanker featured in Austria’s last warm-up match before EURO 2020 on Sunday evening. Hinteregger played the full 90 minutes against Slovakia while Ilsanker came on as a 54th-minute substitute. The game ended in a goalless draw.

Rönnow heading to the EURO on the back of a win

In Denmark’s final match before EURO 2020, Eintracht keeper Frederik Rönnow was on the bench but at least saw his team cruise to a 2-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Schubert part of EURO-winning squad

Markus Schubert, who is still on loan from Schalke and at Frankfurt until 30 June, was a member of Germany’s U21 EURO-winning squad, but was an unused substitute for the 1-0 win over Portugal in the final.
