"I can identify with our playing style”

Ahead of facing Bayern Munich, Adi Hütter gave his thoughts on the top-of-the-table fixture, the opposition and Eintracht’s own approach.

Adi Hütter on...

…his expectations of the game: “We’ve earned the right to be playing in a top-of-the-table clash. We don’t see ourselves at the same level though - Bayern have won six trophies and are top of the league. Nonetheless, we’ve got a chance of getting a good result with a good performance. We’re looking forward to the game and will do everything we can to win it. We know it won’t be easy. We need to have a perfect day.”

...Sebastian Rode: “Sebastian Rode will play on Saturday if nothing happens to him in training. He’ll be highly motivated against his former club and will want to pick up where he left off before his minor injury.”

... Bayern: “Given their upcoming Champions League match, there is the question of who will play and how they’ll line up. But I’m not in a position to answer that. Obviously they have a top-quality squad and they’ve been successful. I’m preparing to face a strong side.”

…Eintracht’s playing style: “Our playing style always depends on the situation. If I thought we’d only have to run a lot to pick up points, I’d demand 123 kilometres every game! It’s more important to make the right sprints at the right time. We’ll have to work very hard against FC Bayern. We’re now in a period where we have self-belief and are used to playing with one another. Let’s wait and see how we line up on Saturday. We’re looking forward to it.”

…his work: “I always try to get the very best out of a team by finding the most appropriate shape and making improvements on the pitch. We’re on the right track. I can identify with our playing style.”
