Kristijan Jakic, who’s been struggling with a knee problem lately, was among the 24 outfield players who, together with three goalkeepers, took to the field for the warm-up, which ended with some sharp individual sprints. That was an opportunity in particular to have a look at Omar Marmoush, as the Egyptian recorded the fastest speed in the league on Matchday 5 at 35.2 kilometres per hour – shared with Heidenheim’s Eren Dinkci.
The tempo remained high afterwards as head coach Dino Toppmöller put his charges through their paces in various drills in two teams on a smaller pitch. Eintracht travel to Wolfsburg on Saturday on Matchday 6 of the Bundesliga (kick-off 15:30 CEST).
