Robin Koch was understandably delighted when Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann included him in his squad for this summer’s European Championship on home soil. The eight-time international is currently the only Eintracht player set to participate at the tournament.
Aurèle Amenda is hoping to join him there, however. The recently crowned Swiss league champion will move to the Eagles from BSC Young Boys this summer, and could even face Koch in his new Deutsche Bank Park home on 23 June in Frankfurt.
Switzerland coach Murat Yakin has named 38 players in his preliminary squad, which he has to reduce to 26 by 7 June. UEFA EURO 2024 will be held from 14 June to 14 July.
