The 232nd edition of the football magazine 11FREUNDE appeared on 18 February with the headline “Ihr könnt auf uns zählen!” (“You can count on us!”) on the front cover. This campaign promises unconditional solidarity with homosexual footballers who come out. Over 800 German men’s and women’s footballers, coaches and officials as well as entire clubs have signed the joint declaration on behalf of their teams.
This message is representative of our big, diverse Eintracht family, whose commitment to tolerance and diversity is second to none.

Among them is Eintracht Frankfurt. In the name of all the club’s members and players, president Peter Fischer put his signature to the nationwide call, which has rapidly gained further support on social media under the hashtag #IhrKönntAufUnsZählen.
“With this signature, I don’t just want to make a statement that is important to me personally,” said Fischer, explaining why he’s taking part in the campaign. “This message is representative of our big, diverse Eintracht family, whose commitment to tolerance and diversity is second to none. We don’t want to pressure anyone into coming out with this campaign, but rather encourage them. You’re not alone. You can count on our support!”
