Aleksandar Ignjovski joins the Eagles
On Thursday, 3 April 2014, Eintracht Frankfurt announced that Aleksandar Ignjovski of fellow Bundesliga club Werder Bremen will join the Eagles for the coming season. Ignjovski’s contract will run for three years.
Eintracht‘s sporting director Bruno Hübner was delighted that the Eagles were able to pull off the deal. He said, “Aleksandar has already gathered some experience in professional football, even though he is only 23 years old. He is an all-rounder who can play either as full-back or as defensive midfielder.“
Aleksandar Ignjovski was born on 27 January 1991 in Pančevo, a city located in the southern part of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina (Republic of Serbia). Before he joined Werder Bremen, Ignjovski used to play for second Bundesliga side 1860 München. Until today, he also took the field eleven times for the Serbian national football team and ten times for Serbia‘s U21 team.
Welcome to Frankfurt, Aleksandar Ignjovski. We wish you a great, injury-free and successful time!

The Eagles‘ supporter’s community comprises more than 650 official fan clubs. Now, even another „EFC“ (Eintracht Fan Club) has been founded in the city of Brussels, which is both the Belgian capital and the de facto capital of the European Union.
The new fan club is called „EFC Euro-Adler“. It consists of about 25 members who work as parliamentarians, civil cervants, journalists or representatives of unions and (trade) associations. Axel Hellmann, Eintracht Frankfurt’s chief financial officer, emphasised that the European fan club might be able to assist in developing and expanding Eintracht’s network.
The fan club’s chairman is Markus Hubbert, who works for the Hessian Permanent Representation to the European Union. Thomas Mann, a member of the European Parliament since 1994 and vice-president of the committee on Social Affairs, acts as Mr. Hubbert’s deputy.
Welcome to the Eintracht family, dear friends in Brussels!
