Sébastien Haller: We’re happy we got the win. It’s good for me and the club. Now we need to focus and recover well for the next game in three days. You have to be able to cope with pressure situations like penalties. It’s not easy but that’s my job. I needed this goal, and the fact it was the only goal of the game makes it all the better. If you don’t concede then you can’t lose, so having a good defence is very important. We had to be patient and wait for our chances.
Marius Wolf: We were maybe a bit panicky after taking the lead. We spoke about that at half-time and then improved. We kept our cool and didn’t give Köln any clear-cut chances. The substitution took a while because we were waiting for the right moment. Obviously it’s nicer to win in front of your own fans but at the end of the day it doesn’t matter where you pick up points.
Gelson Fernandes: Köln put us under an incredible amount of pressure. We had to get something because four of our first six matches are away, so you need to pick up points on the road. I’m pleased with our performance. We were compact and kept it compact between the lines. We didn’t make many mistakes. We lost the ball a few times but our attitude was right. We’ve not conceded any goals away from home, which is good. I hope our confidence grows as we get more wins. We have to remember that a lot of the players have never played in the Bundesliga before. The Bundesliga is the hardest league in the world, and they need to learn that.
