“Expecting a fast-paced contest”

Head coach Adi Hütter is preparing his troops to face a Leipzig side who are strong going forward, but believes Eintracht have the tools to match them.

Adi Hütter on…

…the squad for the match: “Sebastian Rode will miss the game against Leipzig, as will Ragnar Ache, who’s injured. Amin Younes is unavailable due to his COVID-19 infection. Other than that, everyone else is fit as things stand today.”

…the end of the international break: “As a club coach, I’m very pleased that there are no more international games this year. The players have all returned with their health and fitness intact.”

...Filip Kostic’s potential involvement: “Filip Kostic obviously isn’t at full fitness yet, but he’s had some match practice recently and he’s done very well in training. He’s definitely an option for tomorrow.”

...the situation with Djibril Sow: “Djibril has established a place in his national team and has been very impressive in training recently. He’s pushing for the starting XI, but he’s obviously not the only one. We have a lot of competition, especially in that position.”

…Saturday evening’s opponents: “Leipzig are a Champions League team who are very well-equipped in attack. We’re up against a side who have a lot of quality, especially on the left. Angelino has been playing very well in recent games, so we need to be ready for that and find a way to nullify that threat they have.”

…his expectations for the game: “Because of the way both teams play, I’m expecting a fast-paced contest. One thing’s clear though: we need an outstanding performance tomorrow. We have to defend well and transition quickly. We need to contest the duels. At the same time, I also want my team to be brave going forward and to play football. We have to give everything we’ve got to beat a team such as Leipzig.”
