After edging a pulsating seven-goal thriller at home to VfL Wolfsburg at the weekend, the Eagles have started preparations for Saturday’s trip to Borussia Mönchengladbach (kick-off 15:30 CEST). Martin Hinteregger, who has been sidelined for nearly a month with a thigh injury, made his return to training on Tuesday. “I’ve had no pain whatsoever for over a week and hardly feel anything at all,” said the defender, who is taking things easy for the time being as a precaution and is unlikely to be available for the visit to Gladbach.

Ragnar Ache and Almamy Toure are still some way off a return. The duo are expected to be sidelined until the end of the season but still managed to take part in coordination and running exercises while their team-mates were put through their paces on the training pitch.
Other than that, the Eintracht coaching team had a full squad of 19 outfield players and three goalkeepers to choose from. The Eagles will take part in three more sessions this week, the last of which is scheduled for Friday.
