The sporting tribunal of the DFB (German Football Association) has suspended Eintracht midfielder Makoto Hasebe for four Bundesliga matches because of “violent conduct towards an opponent after a foul had previously been committed against him.” Three of these matches will be served immediately, while the fourth has been waived. Tribunal judge Hans E. Lorenz acknowledged that this was the first red card of the 34 year-old’s long career in professional football. Eintracht Frankfurt and Makoto Hasebe accept the verdict.
