Makoto Hasebe has successfully undergone a routine operation on his knee in Japan. The 36-year-old had a small loose body removed in order to be able to play and train without pain again.
As Hasebe’s surgery was preceded by an obligatory 14-day period of quarantine in his homeland, he sat out Eintracht’s Matchday 34 encounter with SC Paderborn in order to return on time when the Eagles resume training on 27 July, which he will now be able to do.
