“We’ve developed a self-assurance”

Adi Hütter discusses Eintracht’s form and their upcoming opponents.

Adi Hütter on…

…the Eagles’ current form: “We’re very happy at the moment and have developed a certain degree of self-belief and self-assurance. We’re playing with freedom right now and playing great football, but we still need to work on the finer points and make better use of our goalscoring chances.”

…the new perception of Eintracht:  “We’ve won games comfortably and drawn attention to ourselves. The processes and balance between defence and attack are spot on. We’ve improved and aren’t taking our eyes off our objective of qualifying for Europe.”

...personnel: “Schubert and Ilsanker are carrying slight knocks. We’ve given Almamy Toure a break from training due to a muscular problem, but we still have until Saturday to decide who’ll be in the squad and who’ll make the starting line-up.”

…opponents Hertha: “They’ll probably focus on their defence and transitional play while trying to capitalise on our mistakes. I’m expecting an opponent who’ll try to be tactically disciplined and produce a more defensive, compact performance. We’ve prepared for that approach. We’ve played good football recently. We want to build on that."

…his midfield options: “Sebastian Rode wasn’t able to play recently as he needed to recover from one or two smaller injuries. He’s an important player for us – as are Djibril Sow and Makoto Hasebe, who are doing well at the moment. We’ve got strength in depth throughout the squad. I’m going to keep needing that quality over the course of the season.”
