…the match in Frankfurt and what they learned:

Oliver Glasner: “We analysed the first game very closely. We performed well in many different areas, but we can do better, especially going forward. That’s what we want to do tomorrow.”

Makoto Hasebe: “We did allow them some chances but defended well on the whole. Spurs have immense quality, we’ll have to defend well as a team tomorrow. If we produce a good performance we can get something.”

Oliver Glasner: “During the final training session both Knauff and Pellegrini said that they can’t play. Obviously that’s not what you want as a coach. But their absences mean chances for other players, and we have full faith in them too.”

Oliver Glasner: “Every win gives you positive feelings, including West Ham this year. We want to perform like that again. Most of the players are still here and have those positive memories.”

Makoto Hasebe: “It’s always exciting to play in London. Our experiences so far against Arsenal, West Ham and Chelsea give me a good feeling about playing here.”
