Glasner in elite company

The Eintracht head coach participated at the UEFA Elite Club Coaches Forum in Nyon on Monday, before travelling on to Japan on Tuesday.


The 22nd edition of the Elite Club Coaches Forum was held at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on Monday. Eintracht head coach Oliver Glasner was among those invited to the prestigious summit meeting.

Among the topics discussed by the coaches of the top clubs - as defined by European football’s governing body - was the new format of international club competitions from 2024, as well as refereeing issues, financial fair play and a joint analysis of the European season so far.

Glasner was joined at the forum by Manchester United’s Eric ten Hag, Paris Saint-Germain’s Christophe Galtier, Benfica’s Roger Schmidt, OSC Lille’s Paulo Fonseca, West Ham United’s David Moyes, former Liverpool and Real Madrid coach Rafael Benitez and Roberto Rosetti, UEFA Referees’ Committee chairman.

The Europa League winners’ coach subsequently arrived in Tokyo after the team on Tuesday night and will be on the touchline on Wednesday evening when the Eagles take on the Urawa Red Diamonds in the Saitama City Cup.
