Glasner undergoes facial surgery

Oliver Glasner had to undergo facial surgery at Frankfurt university hospital today (Sunday). The Eintracht head coach broke his cheekbone after falling off an electric scooter, which required an operation. Assistant coaches Michael Angerschmid and Ronald Brunmayr led today’s training session. Depending on how it heals, Glasner could return to the training pitch on Tuesday or Wednesday, meaning the preparations for the home match against Borussia Dortmund won’t be impacted.

“Unfortunately I wasn’t paying attention for a brief moment and fell,” explained Glasner. “I’m lucky that nothing worse happened. The face is swollen, but otherwise everything’s fine.”
