Since then the paperwork had to be finalised but it is now official that Theofanis Gekas will move to the Süper Lig club who are looking to strengthen their squad in order to prevent relegation.
The Greek international had joined the Eagles ahead of the 2010/11 season from Hertha BSC Berlin and scored 16 goals in 34 Bundesliga games for Eintracht. This season he netted 7 goals in 14 Bundesliga 2 matches.
