Kevin Trapp and Oliver Glasner on…
…team news:
Oliver Glasner: “We have a late dropout to report. Lindström won't travel, he's feeling something in his thigh. He could be available for Leverkusen, though. We don't want to take a risk. Chris Lenz isn’t yet 100 per cent but he doesn’t have any problems anymore. He’s ready to play, but it remains to be seen for how long. With Sebastian Rode, it looks like he’ll stay at his current level of being able to play 20 to 30 minutes until the winter break.”
…the state of play:
Oliver Glasner: "We're primarily concerned with ourselves and secondly with the opponents. We don't know if they're going to rotate heavily and we're prepared for multiple systems. We're not going to play cautiously but rather go for the win."
Kevin Trapp: “It’s a different situation to a few weeks ago. We know what’s required to be successful. The defeat against Hoffenheim doesn’t change that. We want to reproduce the performances we’ve shown in recent weeks and the things that we’ve done well. The team has developed a very different understanding of itself and internalised all the processes better.”
It's in our own hands. We've worked hard for it and want to top it off by winning the group.
Kevin Trapp
…their approach:
Oliver Glasner: “We're primarily primarily concerned with ourselves. We don’t know whether the opponents are going to rotate heavily. We need to make the spaces tighter again, make it difficult for the opponents to get into our penalty area and show our quality in our attacking play, which has improved significantly.”
Kevin Trapp: “We're going to Istanbul to qualify for the round of 16. It's in our own hands. We've worked hard for it and want to top it off by winning the group.”
