Fully focused on BVB – Eintracht prepare to face Dortmund

Eintracht Frankfurt resumed training on Tuesday, shifting focus to the forthcoming match against Borussia Dortmund. Following a workout in the gym, the team had a public session out on the training pitch.

The conditions could hardly have been any better for Eintracht at the start of the new training week: glorious sunshine, 22 degrees and fresh air. After a morning session in the gym, the Eagles took to the training pitches at the Commerzbank Arena in front of around 300 spectators on Tuesday afternoon. Head coach Niko Kovac and his team worked for almost two hours, paying particular attention to shooting and build-up play.

Deji Beyreuther back in training

Kovac was able to call upon 18 outfield players, including U-19 player Deji Beyreuther, who has recovered from injury and was able to feature in the U-19 Bundesliga last week. Marc Stendera, Mijat Gacinovic and Yanni Regäsel did some running drills, while Gelson Fernandes, Jonathan de Guzman and Slobodan Medojevic trained individually, as did Timothy Chandler (Achilles), Marius Wolf (calf) and Noel Knothe (foot). Luka Jovic only took part in the gym session having only recently recovered from illness.
