The international break does not mean a break from training. The players who have remained in Frankfurt were back on the pitch on Wednesday morning, including Sam Lammers and Kristijan Jakic. The latter was officially unveiled as an Eagle on Monday, while the Dutchman joined on deadline day.
While Jakic acted as the orchestrator in a training game, Lammers operated up front – and the striker immediately proved what he’s capable of with a well-placed shot past the helpless Diant Ramaj in goal.
Head coach Oliver Glasner upped the ante at the end as two teams competed against each other in crossing and finishing, scoring with full concentration and power. The losing side were then subjected to the classic forfeit of bending over while their teammates fired shots at them.
