Rafael Santos Borré on...
…his first few hours in Frankfurt: “I'm really happy to finally be here. I've already had a little look around the city and my first impressions were very positive. I'm sure that my family and I will feel at home here. I was at the training ground for the first time today and I met a few of my new team-mates.”
…his decision to join Eintracht: “One of the main reasons was definitely the people here. Ben Manga [director of professional football] and Markus Krösche [board member for sport] really made a lot of effort to sign me. On top of that, Eintracht Frankfurt are a club steeped in tradition with an unbelievable history, with a beautiful stadium and unique fans. I’m looking forward to this new challenge.”
The squad is very cosmopolitan; there are a lot of nationalities here. Everyone can learn from everyone else and that’s very enriching.

…his playing style: “I’m very adaptable and can play in a lot of tactical formations. I can play on the wing, but also through the middle. I’m very attack-minded and I feel most at home when I’m close to the opposition goal.”
…the team: “The squad is very cosmopolitan; there are a lot of nationalities here. Everyone can learn from everyone else and that’s very enriching. I knew right from the start that I’d feel good here. There are a lot of players who speak Spanish and Portuguese, but I’m looking forward to learning German and talking to some people. The team-mates I’ve spoken to already welcomed me really warmly and we’ve been laughing a lot.”
