Frederik Rönnow leaves Eintracht Frankfurt

The Danish goalkeeper has joined 1. FC Union Berlin with immediate effect.

Eintracht Frankfurt and 1. FC Union Berlin have agreed terms over the permanent transfer of Frederik Rönnow. The goalkeeper’s contract with the Eagles was due to expire at the end of the coming season.

Rönnow joined Frankfurt from Bröndby IF in summer 2018. The Dane, whose early Eagles career was impacted by a shoulder injury, went on to make 21 appearances for the club in all competitions.

The 28-year-old spent last season on loan at FC Schalke 04 in a bid for more playing time, but injuries once again restricted him to just 11 league outings for the Royal Blues.

Rönnow will now look to start a fresh chapter in his career at Union Berlin.
