SV Wilhelmshaven 0-4 Eintracht Frankfurt
Eintracht Frankfurt have only ever failed to get beyond the first round of the DFB Cup once, and that statistic was to remain intact as they breezed past Regionalliga side SV Wilhelmshaven in their first competitive outing of the new season.
Though the Bundesliga outfit took a while to get into their stride, Greek striker Ioannis Amanatidis 21st-minute strike put them firmly in control, before his compatriot Giorgios Tzavellas doubled the lead with a superb free-kick seven minutes before the interval.
If the match hadn't already been decided by the break, Patrick Ochs' volleyed finish just before the hour mark made absolutely sure, before Halil Altintop added a fourth in the final minute to round off a deserved win for the visitors.
