Preparations for Köln begin

Slightly depleted but with plenty of enthusiasm, the Eagles began their preparations for the upcoming home match against 1. FC Köln on Wednesday morning.

Adi Hütter’s men were back on the training ground on Wednesday morning as they got started with the preparations for the encounter with Köln on Sunday 14 February (15:30 CET).

Ragnar Ache, Aymen Barkok and Kevin Trapp trained individually, while Eintracht’s number two goalkeeper Markus Schubert was absent due to stomach flu. The rest of the squad completed intensive exercises with the ball.

Adi Hütter, Christian Peintinger and Armin Reutershahn are doing a great job.

Bruno Hübner

Coaching team ‘doing a great job’

As the first training of the week got under way, there was special praise from sporting director Bruno Hübner for André Silva: “André has been playing very well for a long time. The system with two number tens suits him. He’s working brilliantly, he’s fully integrated and he hardly needs any chances to score. He’s made great progress.”

Hübner also complimented the coaching staff: “My premise has always been that development is closely tied to the work of the coaching staff. Adi Hütter, Christian Peintinger and Armin Reutershahn are doing a great job. The current position in the table and the performances are largely thanks to them.”
