Felix Irorere extends contract until 2020

Eintracht Frankfurt have extended Felix Omoruyi Irorere's current development contract until 2020, with the latest deal including the option of a professional contract.

A central defender standing at 1.95m tall, Irorere joined the Eagles from DJK Schwarz-Weiß Frankfurt in 2013 and has since progressed through the club's youth teams.

"We're really pleased that because of the close connection between the football club and its youth academy, a young, talented central defender like Felix Irorere has committed his future to Eintracht Frankfurt for the long term," said Armin Kraaz, director of the club's youth academy.

"Felix is Frankfurt through and through," said Kraaz. "He's been with us for five years and it isn't just his physical attributes that mean he is a really reliable team player. He's got all the characteristics to have a really successful career."

In 24 games at B-team level, Irorere scored two goals, before being promoted to the U19s and making an impressive start to his youth Bundesliga career at the age of just 16. As well as football, the Saint-Denis-born youngster is currently working towards his school-leaving exams.
