EURO: Rönnow’s journey over

Denmark were edged out 2-1 by England in extra time of their semi-final.

Raheem Sterling won the game-winning penalty against Denmark.

Frederik Rönnow and Denmark’s dream of a second European Championship title (after 1992) ended with a 2-1 defeat to England on Wednesday evening. Substitute goalkeeper Rönnow watched from the bench as Harry Kane scored the winner for the Three Lions in the 105th minute. England now face Italy in the EURO final on Sunday.
