EURO: Three Eagles in quarters, Trapp out

There were mixed feelings for the Eagles involved at EURO 2020 following the conclusion of the round of 16.

Germany are knocked out in the round of 16 after a defeat to England.

Kevin Trapp and Germany failed to make it to the quarter-finals, losing 2-0 to England at Wembley Stadium in London. Trapp again watched on from the bench as Manuel Neuer was in goal for Germany.

Trapp joins André Silva (Portugal) as well as Martin Hinteregger and Stefan Ilsanker (Austria) in being knocked out at the last-16 stage, but there is some Eintracht representation in the quarter-finals with Denmark’s Frederik Rönnow and Swiss duo Djibril Sow and Steven Zuber. Switzerland face Spain in Saint Petersburg on Friday, while Denmark take on the Czech Republic on Saturday in Baku. Both ties kick off at 18:00 CEST.
