2-2 against Hungary
Germany battled their way to a 2-2 draw against Hungary on Wednesday evening in Munich, which saw them finish second in the group and move into the last 16 of the EURO. Kevin Trapp was again an unused substitute. Germany face England at Wembley in the round of 16 next Tuesday.
2-2 against France
A 2-2 draw against France was enough for Portugal to get through to knockout stage by coming third in the group. Eintracht striker André Silva watched the match from the substitutes’ bench. The defending champions are up against Belgium on Sunday in the round of 16.
Frederik Rönnow’s Denmark will be first in action in the round of 16 against Wales on Saturday at 18:00 CEST, followed by Martin Hinteregger and Stefan Ilsanker, whose Austria side face Italy at 21:00 CEST.
