Djibril Sow (who played the full 90 minutes) and Steven Zuber (67 minutes) were part of a Swiss team that romped to a 7-0 win in a friendly over Liechtenstein. Both Eintracht players put in a strong performance.
Memorable full debut for Hrustic
Ajdin Hrustic made his full debut in Australia’s 3-0 World Cup qualifying win over Kuwait and scored the final goal of a 3-0 win in the 66th minute with a lovely free kick. Daichi Kamada also tasted victory with Japan, with the Blue Samurai playing their own U24s in a friendly and coming out on top 3-0. Kamada scored the second in the 41st minute just before being substituted.
Markus Schubert was on the bench for Germany’s U21 EURO semi-final against the Netherlands which ended in a 2-1 win for the Germans, who are now through to meet Portugal in Sunday’s EURO 21 final.
