The Frankfurt-born full-back joined Eintracht in summer 2015 from FC 1957 Marxheim, progressed through all the youth teams and made his professional debut in November 2023 in the 1-0 win in Helsinki in the UEFA Europa Conference League. He made five further appearances for head coach Dino Toppmöller’s side.
Loan to Elversberg
In autumn of last year, Baum made his debut for the German U19 national team and has since notched up 11 appearances. The 18-year-old will go on loan for the 2024/25 campaign to SV Elversberg, who finished 11th in Bundesliga 2 last season.
We’re proud of how Elias has developed with us in recent years.
Eintracht sporting director Timmo Hardung
“I’m delighted to have extended my contract at the club I love, where I feel a lot of trust on the part of the management,” said Baum. “Playing with the eagle on my chest means a lot to me. Making six appearances for the first team last season was a valuable experience. Now I want to gain as much playing time as possible at the ambitious club Elversberg, which I need for my development. I’ll continue to work hard for it.”
Eintracht sporting director Timmo Hardung commented: “We’re proud of how Elias has developed with us in recent years. His debut for the first team as well as for the Germany U19s are the result of his ambition, his professional attitude and not least his footballing ability. For Elias’ continued development, the loan to SV Elversberg is an important and sensible move, for which we wish him all the best. We’re also pleased that we’ve been able to tie him down long-term.”
