Eintracht’s pre-season schedule

The Eagles’ preparations for the 2018/19 season have been outlined, with two training camps in the US and South Tyrol and the Super Cup among the highlights of the programme.

Almost eight weeks of pre-season preparations await the 2018 DFB Cup winners. New coach Adi Hütter will welcome his men to training for the first time on 2 July. The first friendly comes just three days later, with SGE visiting sixth-tier outfit Offenburger FV (kick-off 18:00 CEST).

Return to America

On 7 July, Eintracht will travel to Salt Lake City, the capital of the state of Utah, for the first of their summer training camps. The trip includes a friendly against MLS side Real Salt Lake on 10 July at 20:00 local time (04:00 CEST) which will be played at the 20,200-capacity Rio Tinto Stadium. Eintracht will train at the state-of-the-art RSL Academy until 12 July, when they move on to Philadelphia on the East Coast. Here the cup winners will take on Philadelphia Union, the former club of Eintracht legend Oka Nikolov, at the Talen Energy Stadium on Saturday 14 July at 19:00 local time (01:00 CEST). Hütter and his squad will then head back to Frankfurt on Sunday 15 July, the day of the World Cup final.

Second training camp followed by Super Cup

Following the first training camp, the new boss has two weeks on home soil to mould his team for the forthcoming season. Friendlies for this period are not yet confirmed. On 29 July, the Eagles head south for the second of their training camps. As they have done in the last two years, the SGE squad will visit our partners in the idyllic village of Gais in South Tyrol, Italy, where Hütter will be looking to fine-tune his side during an intensive seven days. One week later, things start to get serious as Eintracht take on record German champions Bayern Munich for the first trophy of the season, the Super Cup.
