Eintracht Frankfurt have acquired the services of Switzerland international Steven Zuber. The 28-year-old winger is moving to Frankfurt from fellow Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim and has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until 30 June 2023. Prior to joining Hoffenheim, Zuber played for Grasshopper Club Zurich and CSKA Moscow, and also had a spell on loan at VfB Stuttgart.
The Eagles have picked up a player who is well-established in the German top flight, with 109 appearances and 14 goals to his name, along with 23 caps for his country. Born in Winterthur, Zuber has also played nine times in the UEFA Champions League as well as appearing at the 2012 Olympics and the 2018 World Cup, where he was involved in three matches. His biggest success to date came in 2014 when CSKA Moscow won the Russian league title.
He knows the Bundesliga, he has international experience with Switzerland, he’s a goal threat and will be a good addition to our squad with all his qualities.

With Sahverdi Cetin, Jonathan de Guzman, Gelson Fernandes and Mijat Gacinovic all leaving the club, the right-footed Zuber boosts SGE’s options in midfield, as he has also been used on a regular basis in central midfield in recent years in addition to operating on the wing.
“Steven Zuber will strengthen a number of positions for us,” board member Fredi Bobic explained. “Firstly he will give us extra options on either flank, but he can also play in a central midfield role. He knows the Bundesliga, he has international experience with Switzerland, he’s a goal threat and will be a good addition to our squad with all his qualities.”
Eintracht Frankfurt have given Zuber the No.11 jersey.
