Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC have agreed a loan deal for Sasa Kalajdzic. The Austria international will spend the rest of the season with the Hessians and wear the number nine jersey. The 26-year-old centre-forward has plenty of Bundesliga experience having played for VfB Stuttgart from 2019 to 2022, where he posted 24 goals and 12 assists in 60 competitive appearances.
That led to a transfer to Wolverhampton in the Premier League, but the two-metre-tall Austrian suffered a serious injury on his debut and was out of action for several months. Kalajdzic made his comeback in August 2023 and has stayed free of injury since then. This season he’s made 13 appearances in all competitions for Wolves, scoring three goals and setting up another.
Kalajdzic made his breakthrough with Admira Wacker in his native Austria from 2016 to 2019. He registered 12 goals and 12 assists in 35 games for the first team of the then Bundesliga club. At international level, the Vienna-born striker has 19 caps and four goals to his name, with his last appearance coming against Germany in November.
His playing style will add a new element to our game.

“Sasa has already proven that he can play a big role in the Bundesliga,” said Eintracht board member for sport Markus Krösche. “His playing style will add a new element to our game. He’s a strong finisher with good movement and heading. Because of his experience, we’re confident he’ll be able to help us right away.”
