Marcel Wenig is going out on loan to 1. FC Nürnberg until the end of the 2023/24 season. The midfielder moved to Frankfurt in the summer of 2022 from FC Bayern München and has a contract with the Eagles that runs until 2025.
The 19-year-old celebrated his Bundesliga debut on 15 October 2022 for Eintracht and also made a brief appearance in the second round of the DFB Cup against SV Stuttgarter Kickers three days later.
Born in Nuremberg, the youngster will now get to spend the second half of the season in Bundesliga 2 with one of the teams that he played for in his early days. Wenig began his footballing journey with FCN before switching to FC Bayern as a 13-year-old.
