Joshua Abuaku and Luke Campbell are both competing in the 400m hurdle heats on Friday 30 July, while Amos Bartelsmeyer’s heat in the men’s 1500m is on Tuesday 3 August.
Carolin Schäfer is taking part in her second Olympics, having also been involved at Rio 2016. She gets her heptathlon campaign under way on Wednesday 4 August with the 100m sprint and high jump.
Last but by no means least is marathon runner Katharina Steinruck, for whom the Games begin in earnest on Saturday 7 August.
