Eintracht Frankfurt sign Nathaniel Brown

The Germany U21 international will join in the summer from 1. FC Nürnberg.

Eintracht Frankfurt are pressing ahead with their plans for the future after completing their second signing for next season, following the acquisition of Krisztián Lisztes. Nathaniel Brown, 20, has signed a contract with the Eagles until 2029 but will spend the rest of the current campaign on loan with his former employers 1. FC Nürnberg.

The Amberg-born Brown joined Nürnberg from SSV Jahn Regensburg in 2016 and established himself as a key player last term, registering a goal and three assists in 27 appearances (24 in the Bundesliga and three in the DFB Cup). A left-back by trade, Brown can also be deployed in central midfield.

He fits our requirement profile perfectly thanks to his dynamism and we’re delighted he’s joining us next season.

Sporting director Timmo Hardung

Brown, who holds German and American citizenship, has been a Germany U21 international since September 2023, making one assist in four appearances.

Sporting director Timmo Hardung said: “Nathaniel Brown is a very talented player who, despite his young age, gives off a very mature impression on and off the pitch. We want to help him continue his recent positive development, which is one of the reasons we’ve reached the mutual decision to loan him back to 1. FC Nürnberg until next summer. He fits our requirement profile perfectly thanks to his dynamism and we’re delighted he’s joining us next season.”
