Eintracht Frankfurt sign Jesper Lindström

Talented midfielder moves from Danish champions Bröndby IF on a contract through to 2026.

Eintracht Frankfurt and Bröndby IF have agreed terms for the immediate transfer of Jesper Lindström, with the attacking midfielder signing a five-year contract with the Bundesliga club through to 30 June 2026.

Lindström came through the youth ranks at Bröndby and made his first-team debut in November 2018 in a cup match. After making his first league appearance in July 2019 the 21-year-old enjoyed a breakout season in 2020/21, playing 22 Superliga matches plus another seven in the championship round, starting all but one. He racked up no fewer than 10 goals and 11 assists, playing a huge role in Bröndby’s first title since 2005 and earning his first international call-up in the process when he was capped against Sweden in November 2020.

Born and bred in Taastrup, Lindström is a threat in front of goal and also incredibly versatile, primarily operating as a No.10 but able to play anywhere across the front line. He has 65 appearances to his name at club level, scoring 15 goals and assisting another 15, and was part of the Denmark squad at the 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.

“Jesper Lindström will bring so, so much to our game and his qualities are certainly going to be a great help to the club,” said Eintracht board member Markus Krösche. “He is quick and he has shown in Denmark that he has enormous potential. He will give us more options and more variety.”
