Eintracht Frankfurt sign Enrique Herrero García

Eintracht Frankfurt have captured Spanish starlet Enrique Herrero García, with the 16-year-old striker signing a contract until 2025.

Eintracht Frankfurt have completed the signing of Enrique Herrero García from the Villarreal CF academy, with the forward penning a four-year contract until 30 June 2025. Before joining the Europa League winners’ youth setup in summer last year, Herrero had played for CD Roda.

Born on 28 January 2005, the youngster is also eligible for Eintracht’s U17 and U19 teams. Herrero García has already represented his country at U15 level, making his debut in early 2020, and first attracted significant attention at the ‘LaLiga Promises’ tournament in 2017. Herrero García finished as top goalscorer and was voted best player at the renowned youth tournament in Spain.

Enrique is an exciting prospect with huge potential.

Board member Markus Krösche

Herrero García is the third big talent from the land of the record European Championship winners that Eintracht have managed to land in the space of a few months, after 16-year-old Ignacio Ferri Julià and 17-year-old Fabio Blanco Gómez were recently persuaded to take the next step in their careers with the Bundesliga club.

“Enrique is an exciting prospect with huge potential,” said Eintracht board member for sport Markus Krösche. “He’ll be given sufficient time and opportunities here to develop and take his first steps in professional football. This signing also underlines our approach of integrating young players.”
