Eintracht’s preparations for the second half of the season began a few days ago but they stepped up a level on Tuesday. The Eagles headed to their training camp in Alicante, Spain for some fine-tuning ahead of the next phase of the campaign.
Head coach Niko Kovac’s squad will train for the first time at the Golf Hotel Campoamor today at 17:00 CET. There are then two training sessions on Wednesday (10:00 CET and 17:00 CET, both open) and two on Thursday (10:00 CET open, 17:00 CET closed), with one each on Friday (10:00 CET, open) and Sunday (warm-down). On Saturday the team will face German second division side Erzgebirge Aue at the Pinatar Stadium for a friendly consisting of three halves of 45 minutes.
Kovac and his coaching staff will be working with a squad of 30 players in Spain. As well as injured trio Alex Meier, Jonathan de Guzman and Nelson Mandela Mbouhom, Yanni Regäsel, Renat Dadashov and Slobodan Medojevic have also not made the trip.
