Erik Durm will wear the number that he first wore as a professional this season. The defender is moving from 25 to 37.
It is by no means the only number that is attracting increased interest in Frankfurt at the moment. Rafael Santos Borré has been given the number 19 shirt, following in the footsteps of none other than David Abraham.
Light rotation
First summer signing Christopher Lenz has chosen the number 25 vacated by Durm.
The other new arrivals will wear the following numbers: Fabio Blanco Gómez (28), Jesper Lindström (29), Ali Akman (30), Enrique Herrero García (38), Diant Ramaj (40).
There are also the players who have returned from loan spells, some of whom are getting their previous numbers back: Rodrigo Zalazar (6), Dejan Joveljic (16), Danny da Costa (24), Goncalo Paciencia (39), Nils Stendera (41).
And not forgetting the young talents who have been promoted from the academy: Felix Irorere (42), Fynn Otto (43), Martin Pecar (45).
