Köln preparations under way

With just three days until the home match against 1. FC Köln, Eintracht were back on the training field on Wednesday.

After the internationals were given a day off on Monday and the whole squad had a day without training on Tuesday, energy levels were high for the first session of the week on Wednesday as a total of 21 outfield players gathered on the training pitch at Deutsche Bank Park. On the personnel front, it was much the same with Sebastian Rode, Martin Pecar and Christopher Lenz still unable to take part following their injuries.

Emphasis on tactics

The morning was dominated by tactical content. In a ten-v-ten drill with six small goals, the name of the game was to solidify coordination and sequences. Head coach Oliver Glasner was his usual communicative self, interrupting the activities whenever something wasn’t to his liking. That also carried over to the players, who regularly exchanged views, helped and encouraged one another.
