“Of course there’s pressure”

Oliver Glasner discusses the situation going into the clash at Hertha, the opposition and personnel.

Oliver Glasner on...

...personnel: “Rode and Ache won’t be involved yet. Da Costa didn’t train today due to issues with his pubic bone, so we’ll have to wait and see there. Chris Lenz is suspended.”

…opponents Hertha BSC: “We have respect for Hertha, who possess more quality than they’ve shown this season. I’m thinking more about us than about Hertha. I don’t know whether they’ll attack high or sit off. We need to be able to provide solutions to any eventuality. Hertha have experienced players who know where the goal is. They have many options. Their results in recent weeks haven’t been good either. We’re going there aiming to spark a turnaround.”

I’ve rarely experienced three consecutive defeats up to now, but we’re not going mad. What I’ve seen in training this week gives me confidence.

Head coach Oliver Glasner

…pressure ahead of the match: “I’ve rarely experienced three consecutive defeats up to now, but we’re not going mad. What I’ve seen in training this week gives me confidence. I’m seeing how all the players are rising to the situation. Of course there’s pressure, though.“

…efficiency in front of goal: “We could’ve scored more goals in the last few games. The situations where we don’t get a shot on goal are also clear-cut chances for me, and we had a lot of them at Köln recently. All the players want to score. They do it in training, now it has to come off in the game.”

...Martin Hinteregger: “Martin is on his way back to his former strength. This was his best week of training since I’ve been here. We’ve got some tough weeks ahead of us and I’m glad we have a lot of options.”
