Three matches, three wins

Four Eagles enjoyed success with their countries on Wednesday evening, with Silva, Jovic, Kostic and Schubert all picking up wins.

U21 EURO off to a good start

Germany got their European Under-21 Championship campaign off to a flying start with an impressive 3-0 win over hosts Hungary. Unfortunately for Eintracht’s Markus Schubert however, Finn Dahmen of 1. FSV Mainz 05 got the nod in goal.

Narrow win thanks to bizarre own goal

André Silva was also on the winning side for Portugal, who took a step towards qualifying for the 2022 World Cup, although it took an own goal from Azerbaijan in the 37th minute for them to secure the three points. Silva was in the starting XI before making way for Joao Felix a quarter of an hour from time.

Serbia go top of the group

Luka Jovic and Filip Kostic enjoyed a well-deserved 3-2 win over Republic of Ireland. The Eagles pair began the match on the bench for Serbia before coming on in the second half of their World Cup qualifier in Belgrade and putting in strong performances.
