New signing Diant Ramaj profiled

Eintracht picked up an outstanding goalkeeping talent over the summer in the figure of Diant Ramaj.

Goalkeeper Diant Ramaj went through the VfB Stuttgart youth system before joining SV Stuttgarter Kickers in 2015. After 46 appearances for the U17 team, he then switched to 1. FC Heidenheim in 2018.

Over two years, he played 42 times for the U19 team, keeping ten clean sheets in the process. In 2019, the keeper signed his first pro contract and featured in the second-division club’s first-team matchday squad once in each of the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons.

After three years at Heidenheim, Ramaj has now come to Frankfurt with a contract that will keep him at SGE until 2024.

Experienced youth international

Ramaj has nine youth caps for Germany at U18, U19 and U20 level, and is seen as one of the main up-and-coming goalkeeping talents in German football at the moment.

He is very much in the modern mould of custodians, with his philosophy being “always be available for a pass, play the ball out to feet, be confident”. The 19-year-old names Barcelona’s Marc-André ter Stegen as his role model.
