Training

The final push begins

The first team returned to training with a reduced session after a weekend off, as the first international arrived back and Goncalo Paciencia resumed full training.

The last international break of the year is coming to an end, and having been off since last Thursday, the players not on international duty were back in training on Tuesday afternoon. With the exception of Martin Hinteregger, who has already reported back to Deutsche Bank Park as he was suspended for Austria’s match on Monday, the Eagles’ other internationals will return to training on Wednesday.

While a total of 12 outfield players and two goalkeepers got back up to speed, Christopher Lenz and Sebastian Rode worked individually. Paciencia also took things a bit more carefully as he trained with his teammates for the first time in nearly three weeks after his muscle injury, although he split off after around half of the session.
