The Eagles went into the international break with a last-minute winner against VfB Stuttgart (final score 2-1) two weeks ago. Sebastien Haller scored after 90+4 minutes with a goal of the month contender. After that various players were on tour with their respective national sides, for example Mijat Gacinovic and Serbia qualified for the World Cup in Russia next year.
Both Hannover (4) and Eintracht (6) have conceded few goals so far (only topped by Dortmund with 2), H96 even had clean sheet only at home. Eintracht won the DFB Cup round of the last 16 in February last season 2-1 in Hannover; also the last Bundesliga meeting at HDI Arena was a 2-1 win for SGE due to a Stendera brace.
