Eintracht will be preparing for the second half of the Bundesliga season in Alicante until Sunday. We will keep you updated every day with how the Eagles are getting on, providing the latest news from the Coca-Cola-sponsored training camp.
Delayed flight: It was with a slight delay that the Eagles headed south on Tuesday morning. Originally due to depart at 09:00CET, the flight left Frankfurt airport around an hour late, meaning the delegation only touched down on Spanish soil at 12:45. The players and staff present soon forgot the delay, though, when met with sunshine and 20-degree heat at the Golf Hotel Campoamor.
Almost a full complement: Niko Kovac has taken 27 outfield players and three goalkeepers to Spain, although Alex Meier, Jonathan de Guzman and Nelson Mandela Mbouhom have not made the trip due to injury. Renat Dadashov, Slobodan Medojevic and Yanni Regäsel have also not travelled. Otherwise, the remainder of the senior squad is in Alicante, as is U-19 starlet Sahverdi Cetin.
First training session: After the delayed arrival, the team had lunch at 14:30, before the first training session on Spanish soil began at 17:00.
