Hugo Larsson on…
…Eintracht Frankfurt: “Eintracht Frankfurt are a fantastic club with a great history and passionate fans. It doesn’t get any better than that. When you’re still a youngster, moving abroad is obviously a big transition. It’s sensible to take things a little more slowly, but I’m here to show what I can do and I’m really looking forward to that. I particularly associate Eintracht with their fantastic fans. I’m really excited about playing in front of them. It’s going to be an adventure!”
…his first impressions: “The first few days in Frankfurt have been very good, as was the first training session. It’s nice that so many fans were there. I was nervous before the first session but it ended up going very well. The coach came up to me at one point and told me to keep playing the way I was. One thing I still need to get used to a bit are the temperatures – it’s a bit warmer here than in Sweden at the moment.”
’m happiest as a box-to-box player, that way I can help out in defence and join in our attacks.

…his preferred position: “I started out as a box-to-box player, but when we played in Europe with Malmö last season I became more defensive. I’m happiest as a box-to-box player, that way I can help out in defence and join in our attacks. I’m very versatile, though, and will play where the coach and the team need me.”
…his sporting role models: “When I was little it was Cristiano Ronaldo. Later on I tried to find players with a similar style of play and who I could learn from. There are very good players at Eintracht. I always tried to learn from the best players at Malmö and that’s what I want to do here.”
…his passion for football: “I started playing football as a three-year-old. My parents coached me until I was nine. I also tried other sports – tennis and table tennis, for example – but football has always been the only thing for me.”
