...pre-season: “I think the fact that I’m doing pre-season preparations for the Bundesliga in Germany can help me a lot. Last year my pre-season work was in Portugal and I noticed it wasn’t enough for me. It affected the whole season and that’s why I’m very happy to be here from the start now. …competition for places in attack: “There’ll always be competition. We already had two great strikers in André Silva and Goncalo Paciencia, and Ragnar Ache has made a really good impression too. It’s impressive how much he wants to learn and how he’s gone about things these first few weeks. Ragnar’s very strong and very quick. I hope he keeps going like this. ...the friendly against Ajax: “Ajax were in the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2019. There’s been a bit of upheaval there as a few players have moved on, but they’re still a great team. We’re going there to show what we can do.”
